Michael Travis Powell has captivated and excited audiences all over the country both as himself and as a tribute artist, performing as Elvis Presley and Jason Aldean. Born and raised in Shelby, NC, Michael comes from a musical family with roots in Country music and Southern Gospel. Even from an early age, Powell knew he wanted to be a Entertainer.

By the time he was eight years old, Powell had sung Hank William Jr.’s “Born to Boogie” in front of thousands  at the famed Bristol Motor Speedway and years later sang the National Anthem at the Daytona International Speedway Camping Series truck race.

Michael Travis formed the Travis Powell band in 2008 and covered music from a variety of country artists including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Gary Allen, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, and Little Texas. In October 2009, Michael Travis released his first self-titled album, which includes three songs that he wrote and co-wrote, a project that gained a lot of attention with his single “The Man Song” which quickly moved up the Music Row charts and aired on country stations all over the United States resulting in a top 100 on media based charts.

Powell has shared the stage with incredible talent including Blake Shelton, Gavin DeGraw, Ronnie Dunn, John Michael Montgomery, Trent Tomlinson, Craig Morgan, and numerous others. He also finds time to give back and has played shows for The Victory Junction Gang, The Mooresville Humane Society, JR Motorsports Fan Day, Relay for Life, and The Cleveland-Rutherford Kidney Association. In 2014 he also founded The Travis Powell Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide less fortunate children in Cleveland County, North Carolina with aid to improve their quality of life throughout the year.
